Apply for an Apartment

Filling out a rental application is a strange kind of vulnerable. You're handing a stranger your pay stubs, your ID, and your last landlord's phone number, and then you wait. We've tried to make the waiting part short and the rest of it plain.

Here's what happens after you hit submit. Our office gets your application the same day, and Nilushi is usually back to people within one business day (it can stretch a little if you apply late on a Friday). We look at your income, we call the references you've given us, and if everything lines up we'll send you a lease to read before you commit to anything.

A few things worth having ready. Your last two pay stubs and a photo ID, which you can upload right in the form. If the files are big, or you'd just rather hand them to us in person at 1827 Albert Street, that works too. If you're applying with someone else, put both of you on the form (we look at household income together, not separately).

One more thing. If something in your history is complicated, a gap in employment, a rough stretch a few years back, or you're renting on your own for the first time and have no landlord to point us to, say so in the application instead of hoping it won't come up. We have rented to a lot of good tenants whose paperwork wasn't tidy. Finding out later is the part that's hard to work with.
